Do you have a storefront?
Not anymore! I used to have a storefront in downtown Hood River; but, in 2025 my grandfather, Pop, helped me build a commercial kitchen on our family farm here among the orchards of Hood River. I now have the lucky opportunity to create with great peace and solitude alongside my grandma, Nanny. I used to pull up a stool next to her at any counter I could reach just to watch her beautiful hands create exquisite pies and cookies as a young girl, which is where my love of baking began. Nanny retired a few years ago, an established and prestigious businesswoman. She now holds the proud title of "dishwasher" for me at Blossom Baking (which is no small job) and we continue to grow and prosper together here on the farm, as a family, and in this quaint little kitchen with a big heart, all due to the hard work, pride, love and belief from one man, her husband, Bill, our Pop, who passed shortly after the completion of our new kitchen space at the very tail end of 2025.
Rest in pride and peace, Pop, and thank you. Blessed to have had lessons in life from you.
What's the booking process?
Please submit an inquiry below and we'll chat about all of your options if I'm available on your event date! I'll send over the full menus and base pricing information (cake, dessert tables, supplemental desserts) and encourage you to order a tasting box available here on my website. After your tasting (completely optional, also) and our initial email consultation, you should have a good idea about whether I'm a good fit to make your desserts! At which point I'll then send over the next steps for you to complete to include a contract and a request for half payment of your total order for the retainer, payable and singable online.
What's the design process?
During our email conversations I'll request some photo inspiration for what you have in mind for your wedding cake or dessert table. Pinterest boards, invitations, and a picture of your wedding dress or details that are important to you are all great tools to help me create something unique and special to you!
Please keep in mind I work with strictly buttercream decorated cakes, no fondant designs available here (I just don't thrive working with fondant-covered cakes, sorry! I can usually create something very similar if you show me a photo, though!)
Final details
I'll ensure every important detail is communicated and taken care of one month prior to your event. The final payment, delivery details, design details, placement or storage of the cake, cake stands, cake flowers, cake cutting guide provided, etc. I handle all of the details so you don't have to. Please expect thoughtful, reliable and consistent service from me from our email consultations to the delivery of your desserts.
Helpful note: if you have a coordinator, encourage your vendors to deal with them directly! In my experience, they'll happily figure out the details you may not have experience with. For me especially, when it comes to delivery times, cake flowers, cake stands and cutting, the hired professionals and caterers are usually happy to work with me to execute the beautiful details of your day so there's less stress for you.
